Well, here it is.
After a little hiatus, I have returned, and the world has been restored to its normal state.
This isn’t one of those planned-out, thought-through type blog posts, where I carefully plot the message I want to communicate – let’s play it casual.
My time away from the site wasn’t entirely planned, but has been welcome – whilst necessitated by work and other commitments, it’s given me a chance to reflect on where I want this blog to go in the future, particularly over the course of 2016. There are certainly now a few more things on my Todoist (great free app, threw that plug in there, go check it out).
Thinking on a smaller scale, there are also some topics that I want to cover, that I probably wouldn’t have thought of had I been plugging away, writing my way through the list of topics I’ve been building over the last year or so.
I’ve got some big plans for next year, and I’ll reveal them when the time is right. For now, it’s time to enjoy the Christmas break! Earlier this evening Naomi and I joined the church with whom I grew up for their annual ‘Christmas Eve Carols Around the Tree’ in the middle of the village. There was a good number of people there, and the singing was good in spite of the cold.
I was a little disappointed that we didn’t sing my favourite…
GLOooooOOOooooOOOoooooOOOooooooOOOooooOOOORIA HOSANNA IN A SHELL SUIT!
We’ve also enjoyed some Christmas cocktails, where the first batch turned out a bit… sour, so I threw out the recipe and improvised.
Anyway, have a wonderful Christmas, and thank you for your support this year – I sincerely hope this blog has been a practical help to those involved with communications work, over the last few months.
